Note Blaster — Privacy Policy
Effective 07/12/2026 · Note Blaster is a free game by The Talent House, a music school in Cypress, TX.
What we collect
You can play the whole game without giving us anything. If you choose to enter your email to save progress:
- Email address — to link your saved game profile.
- Initials and scores — shown on the public honor-system leaderboard. Basic run tickets and score caps limit abuse, but gameplay is not independently verified.
- Game progress — unlocked levels and streaks, tied to your email.
- Newsletter signup — optional. We record consent and enroll your address only if you check the separate newsletter box and then verify the inbox. Every newsletter email has an unsubscribe link.
- Network address — temporarily included in abuse-prevention rate-limit keys.
What we don't collect
No passwords, no payment info, no precise location, no ad tracking, and no third-party analytics. Your browser stores game progress, your email, and a random sign-in token in local storage. The server stores only a one-way hash of that token.
Where it lives
Game data is stored with Cloudflare (our hosting provider). Saving an email-linked profile requires a one-use verification link sent to that inbox. Newsletter addresses are sent or queued for The Talent House's mailing software only after that verification and only when the newsletter box was checked. We never sell your email.
How long we keep it
- Player profiles, progress, and leaderboard entries stay so returning players keep their scores.
- Newsletter delivery event logs are deleted after 90 days. Successfully delivered queue records are deleted after 30 days by the delivery job. Undelivered consented records remain queued until delivered.
- Rate-limit keys expire after one hour and are removed during subsequent API traffic.
